Should I use "subconscious" or "unconscious"? 🤔

Great question! "Subconscious" and "unconscious" are two terms that deal with different levels of mental awareness. If you're speaking about thoughts or actions happening just below the level of consciousness, you'd use "subconscious". This entails something you're not currently aware of but can become aware if you think about it.
However, if you're talking about a deeper level of awareness where things happen without your knowledge or control, like in a coma or deep sleep, "unconscious" would be appropriate. Remember, the branches on a tree are like the subconscious, reachable if you climb, whereas the unconscious lies buried like roots. And like roots, bring up the unconscious only when dealing with deep-seated instances in the mind.
