The past tense of the verb "load" is "loaded". This follows the regular verb rule in English where we add "-ed" to the base form of the verb to indicate a past action. A lot of verbs follow this rule. So, when you're holding a conversation about something that happened in the past, you'd say "I loaded the truck yesterday", not "I load the truck yesterday". Just picture yourself loading a truck in the past - "loaded" fits better, doesn't it?
